Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the AAP acknowledges that it would be impossible to host an in-person annual meeting to the standards expected by the AAP membership and Annual Meeting participants. The impracticability imposed by government regulations and restrictions in Hawaii, including requirements for physical distancing, would not permit the AAP to host the meeting as planned. As a result, the AAP Board of Trustees has approved pivoting the in-person Annual Meeting to a virtual format. The AAP remains committed to providing its members and attendees with access to the cutting-edge and world-class continuing education that the Annual Meeting typically offers, as well as connecting attendees with each other and the latest periodontal products, services, and innovations.
